    Apocalypse Now came after the success of The Godfather, and this success allowed Francis Ford Coppola to finagle a great deal of creative freedom for himself when making the memorable war epic. The production of Apocalypse Now was notoriously long and turbulent, and many hurdles arose over the course of it that Francis had to work around. One of those hurdles involved Lynda Carter, who would go on to rise to immense fame portraying the character of Wonder Woman on television. Many people don’t realize that Lynda was involved in the production of Apocalypse Now… and that she can be seen completely nude in it!
    

    Lynda Carter ended up having to quit Apocalypse Now after being offered the role of Wonder Woman. Lynda was cast in the role of Miss May, and she did some preliminary work on the film before quitting. Some of this work involved Lynda posing for a mock Playboy centerfold.
